FIRST REPORT - SAAHO REVIEW - A movie No one wanted to make, No one should bother to watch

After a gap of two years post the release of his magnum opus Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, handsome Hunk prabhas has teamed up with young maker sujeeth of Run raja Run fame for the action-packed grand entertainer Saaho which was released amidst huge expectations.

Saaho begins with the introduction of the wealthy patriarch Roy (jackie shroff), kidnap and a 2000 crores robbery leading to the arrival of Ashok (prabhas) and Amritha Nair (shraddha kapoor) who come to investigate. As they find a lot of baddies behind a mysterious Black Box, they fall for each other as well and realize the threats. ashok has a hidden identity as well. What's Ashok's real identity and was he able to get the black Box and save Amritha from the army of baddies is what Saaho is all about.

The script appeared to skip the editing room and go straight to the wood mill, where it was promptly chopped up by a team of hardy lumberjacks. This film does not flow at all and looks as if it was patched up together in a hurry by the three blind mice. The plot is stupid, generic, forgettable and of no consequence or importance.

prabhas is amazing in action episodes and his chiseled abs and stunning physique makes the Massive action episodes believable and generates goosebumps. He's used perfectly to deliver lots of stunning action episodes and he outshines everyone else including shraddha kapoor.

sujeeth despite getting a huge opportunity has flunked as he delivers a screenplay that's cliched and drags big-time and is more of style and technical gimmicks relying than on the story and a gripping screenplay. While ghibran and Madhie offer great support technically with background score and cinematography, VFX could have been better. All said, despite prabhas rocking in action and mass, and with several goosebumps sequences, Saaho is all style and less substance and ends as an average outing.
