Superstar Mahesh Babu is back on screens after his Blockbuster political entertainer Bharat Ane Nenu, with his milestone silver jubilee flick Maharshi directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
Rishi (Mahesh Babu), a successful CEO in the US returns to meet his college friends Pooja (Pooja Hegde) and Ravi (Allari Naresh) and finds Ravi in a dangerous state facing corporate villain Vivek Mittal (Jagapathi Babu) who's involved in land acquisition in Ravi's village and destroying Farming. Now Rishi decides to take on Vivek and who won the battle and was Rishi able to help kid friend Ravi and his village and become a real great man and a real successful person in life is what Maharshi is all about.
Mahesh Babu is a livewire and he's terrific on screen with his intense performance and is perfectly supported by Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. Devi Sri Prasad and KU Mohanan deliver technically making Maharshi a superior quality product. With an engaging screenplay laced with goosebumps moments and classy elements and a powerful social message, Vamshi Paidipally delivers a perfect Blockbuster entertainer movie for superstar fans. On the flip side, the movie deals with too many issues and the running time tests the patience ofthe audience. Allari Naresh's thread is weak. The movie deals with Education system in the first half and farmers issue in second half, and speaks so many things, but fans feel there is no 'Mahesh-ism'.
