One of the most celebrated movies of recent times in Kollywood happens to be the raw and rustic gangster drama set in North Madras, Vada Chennai, and the movie has opened to huge unanimously positive reviews and also commercial acclaim.

The Vetrimaran directorial movie, starring National award winning actor Dhanush, and co-starring Andrea Jeremiah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ameer, Daniel Balaji, Samuthirakani, Kishore is bankrolled by Dhanush himself in his Wunderbar studios and has grossed more than 26 crores in its opening weekend despite an A certificate.
Now, several sections of audience, especially the fishermen community of north Chennai have claimed that a controversial scene where Andrea and Ameer are having sex, featuring a topless Andrea, degrades their community, and hence Vetrimaran and team, have decided to chop the scene, and have also assured that Vada Chennai part 2 and 3 will speak of the lives and pain of the people and will portray them in good light. Even the YouTube video has been removed.
