Shocker: Tollywood loses Veteran Film Maker

This is surely another big shock to the Telugu Film Industry and the country as well. Dr. D Ramanaidu, the multilingual producer of the Indian Film Industry has passed away today afternoon. He was suffering from Cancer past few months and left his body today. Many celebrities and politicians expressed their heart felt condolences.
Ramanaidu was born on June 6, 1936 in Karamchedu, Madras. Ramanaidu produced more than 150 films in 13 different languages of India. He also holds a Guinness world record for producing so many movies as an individual. He was awarded the Dada Saheb Pahlke Award for his life time achievement work for the Indian Cinema.
Ramanaidu has founded Suresh Productions along with his friends G.Rajendra Prasad and Subba Rao. Ramudu Bheemudu was the first movie under Suresh Productions banner. He rooted the Ramanaidu studios in Hyderabad when many of his friends told that it is a great risk. He has given great hits where he introduced many top heroes and heroines.
He served as a politician belonging to Telugu Desam Party from Bapatla constituency as an MP in 1999-2004. He was also awarded with the third most highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan.
