Mega Power Star Ram Charan has come forward to help the people affected
by Hudhud Cyclone Victims. The actor arranged a press meet and announced
his help to the victims. Charan had donated 10 Lakhs to Chief Minister
Relief Fund and 5 Lakhs to Rama Krishna Mission, an NGO working from
Vishakapatnam. He also directed Honey Foods of Tapeswaram, East Godavari
to send 5000 Pulihora packets, 5000 Water packets and 10000 Biscuit
packets as temporary relief to those in relief shelters.
Ram Charan also told media that he is trying to reach out to his fans in
Uttarandhra area to help the supplies reach to the victims but could
not reach out to them due to network connectivity failure. He appealed
fans through media to help as much as possible in the relief work. Ram
Charan also clarified that he is ready to participate in any fund
raising event if conducted by Tollywood.
Interestingly, Ram Charan even though son of Chiranjeevi who is in the
opposition party, appreciated State and Central government for their
excellent foresight which drastically reduced the loss of life and the
relief work after the tragedy. It is told that Chiranjeevi is currently
in some foreign country on a holiday and his son, Ram Charan made the
announcement on his behalf.
