Pawan Fan breaks AD Day 1 record

Tamil hero Vijay’s ‘’Kaththi," which hit the screens on 22 October, has taken record opening in Tamil Nadu on Day 1 . "Kaththi" has collected a whopping Rs.15.4 crore on the first day in the country.The film connects to the classes and masses well and it expected to register a record opening weekend at the box office.Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, "Kaththi" is about a crook who turns a messiah when faced with the plight of farmers. Its known that Vijay is a big fan of Power Star Pawan Kalyan and he revealed the same several times openly. Over the years, Vijay has starred in the Tamil remakes of Telugu films such as Okkadu, Pokiri, Thammudu ,Athanokkade and Nuvvu Naaku Nachav. Collections of Kaththi is relatively more than first day collections of Pawan starrer AD movie.The film had minted ₹10.75 crore share on its opening day at the AP/Nizam box office. Kaththi" marks the second-time collaboration of Vijay-Murugadoss after their 2012 film "Thuppakki". Also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh, the film was reportedly made on a budget of nearly Rs.70 crore.
