To act in Maniratnam's movies is every actor's dream, But actress Pooja Hegde rejects filmmaker Mani Ratnam' Offer Mani Ratnam is planning a bilingual movie in Tamil and Malayalam languages with Mammotty's son Dulquar Salman. He is searching for the female lead for this movie from quite some time. He considered names like Alia Bhat, Nitya Menon etc. Not satisfied with any he finally contacted Pooja Hegde and offered the role.But Pooja denied the role citing her date issues. Its known news that Pooja Hegde has been signed opposite Hrithik in Bollywood period drama film based during the Indus Valley Civilization.While speaking about this pooja told ' It is true that Mani Ratnam approached me. It is a huge honor for me that I got a call from him. My heart broke when I got to know I can’t work elsewhere till I finish Mohenjadaro’’  Earlier, Mani Ratnam planned to make a multistarrer film with Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu but that project was shelved due to unknown reasons.Mani Ratnam's last directed a film 'Kadali' and it was turned as a disaster at the box-office
