EXCLUSIVE: Anup Rubens replaces DSP in NTR-Puri film

Anup Rubens will be replacing Devi Sri Prasad as the music director for NTR's next being directed by Puri Jagannadh. The makers are currently running on a very tight schedule as they want to release the film for Sankranthi the next year. Devi Sri Prasad has a packed schedule and clarified the makers that he can not deliver the music by that time due to his prior commitments. The makers tried to bring in Mani Sharma for the rerecording and confine Devi Sri Prasad only for songs but the later did not agree for it. Finally the makers have decided to bring in Anup Rubens in the place of DSP as the music director. Anup Rubens was to work with NTR for Rabhasa movie but for some reason he was replaced by Thaman after some days. We will have to see is Anup makes use of this chance. The movie unit have a tight packed 74 days schedule to complete the film in time and release it on January 9th for Sankranthi as per plan. NTR and Puri Jagannadh vowed to work nonstop so that the film completes in this three and half months. NTR's previous films - Ramayya Vasthavayya and Rabhasa are big flops and NTR now desperately wants a hit to make a comeback. NTR and Puri Jagannadh earlier teamed up for Andhrawala several years ago. There were huge expectations on the movie as it came after a blockbuster,Simhadri. But the film was an utter flop. Later on a film in their combination was on cards for several times but that did not happen. Puri wants to make amends for Andhrawala mistake with this new project.
