The 61st Idea Filmfare awards South 2013 was held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai on 12th July. The show was one of the best star studded award show. Popular artists from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industry were presented at the function. In Telugu Mahesh Babu won best actor award for his performance in SVSC movie where as Short beauty Nitya Menan bagged best actress award for Gundejari Gallanthayyinde movie.Pawan starrer Attarintiki Daredi won 4 awards which includes Best Film and Best director awards. Devi Sri Prasad elected as Best music director for AD and Srimani bagged best lyricist award for Aardugula Bulletu song in Attarintiki Daredi. "SVSC" followed in second place with two awards -- best actor for Mahesh Babu, and best playback singer female for Chitra.Manchu Laxmi won best actress in a supporting role award and Sunil won best supporting role award for Thadaaka.
