Ankit Tiwari arrested on a Rape case

Aashiqui 2 singer and popularly known for his song "Sun Raha Hai Tu" Ankit Tiwari and his brother Ankur Tiwari are arrested today by Mumbai police officials on a rape case, a friend of Ankit filed a case on Ankit for raping her and also his brother Ankur for warning her. A Deccan Chronicle report says, the victim is Ankit's girlfriend, an event management professional, who the singer has decided not to marry despite promising to marry her. Quoting a source, a Mid-Day report says that the victim is 28-years old and is not from the film industry. She was staying with her sister in Mumbai and met the singer through common friends. Since then the two have been in touch with each other and the two brothers used to visit her house frequently. Both are arrested by Mumbai police officers and will be submitted in front of media by today evening.
